Sulci protective cylinders white MK3 Small 100 pcs

System of flexible nail cylinders that protect against pressure from the edge of the nail plate on the surrounding surface. The cylinders are inserted via applicators on the distal part of the nail plate near the edge.

Sulci Protectors are therefore flexible plastic cylinders that are set on the lateral edge of the nail. This laterally applied 'channel' distributes and reduces the excessive pressure that can be caused by the nail thickness in the nail plate. It also helps prevent breakage of the lateral nail edge and protects the nail groove from sharp splinters or foil fragments. It has an important corrective role in the formation of badly cut or shaped nails, providing protection as the nail grows forward, displacing the tissue in front.

Sulci Protectors require minimal subungual space and can be inserted without causing onycholysis. They remain in place thanks to the placement between nail and vallus, without the need for adhesives or glues.

The colours distinguish the sizes (they help the patient and the operator to see if the protector stays in place) and serve different purposes:

• Sulci WHITE has a small outer diameter and takes up little space. It can be used in most cases to spread pressure adequately and evenly.
