Kit for correction or passive stabilisation of the toenail and fixation of elements used in orthonixia, with Blue Light LED lamp and UNGUISAN® Hard Composite Gel.
The UNGUISAN® Hard Composite system is designed for the correction or passive stabilisation of the toenail. It uses a photo-hardening gel, supplied in a practical dispensing syringe with a precision applicator, and a battery-operated LED lamp which enables the gel to be polymerised in just 20 seconds.
Passive correction is based on the observation that nails often have less curvature at the matrix than at the distal part of the free edge. If this "flat" shape were maintained during nail growth, the entire nail surface would not bend in on itself, creating those curved or involute nail structures.
This can be achieved with passive correction or stabilisation by applying a strip of UNGUISAN® Hard Composite Gel, transverse to the direction of nail growth near the base.
As no active force is applied, this transformation takes place without discomfort and tension, in the most gentle way. This method is therefore also suitable for brittle nails and diabetics.
Also indicated after active nail correction treatment with bar or hook systems to maintain the result.
For a perfect adhesion of the UNGUISAN® Hard Composite Gel on the nail, it is necessary to apply it after the UNGUISAN® Primer in the kit.
Also included in the kit is UNGUISAN® Gel for fixing all elements used in ortho-types on the toenail.
The UNGUISAN® Blue Light LED lamp, with two AA batteries included, should be placed 1-3 cm away from the nail.
