Hyaluronic Acid has the ability to keep facial skin firm and compact due to its ability to attract and retain water molecules, allowing the skin to be perfectly moisturised and toned.

Present in the human body, between the collagen and elastin fibres, it exerts a high pressure towards the epidermis, known as 'turgor', which acts as a support for the dermis.

At birth, it is present in abundant quantities but diminishes over time: the skin appears thinner and less firm. The first wrinkles begin to appear and the skin becomes more sensitive and dehydrated.

Vegetal hyaluronic acid differs from traditional hyaluronic acid in that it is not obtained from animal sources, but uses fermentation processes with a low environmental impact. It is used to plump up the skin and combat signs of ageing, and in the face as an anti-wrinkle agent.

Thanks to its ability to bind and retain water, it acts both as a direct moisturiser, bringing water into the stratum corneum, and as an indirect moisturiser, forming a film that prevents it from evaporating.

Daily application of a hyaluronic acid product is a great help in preventing the signs of ageing and keeping the skin young and toned. In face masks, it can be used by all skin types for a regenerating and moisturising action.

Hints

Apply 2 to 3 times a week in a thick layer on the cleansed skin of the face and neck and leave on for 10 to 15 minutes.
